How to Incorporate SMS in Nonprofit Messaging

by Jenna Spagnolo and Ritu Sharma

Text messaging is the #1 most used function across all mobile phones, and yet it is one of the most under-utilized communication tools. For nonprofits, text messaging is a great way to draw attention to your message and elevate your existing outreach. By sending out a text, you could prompt supporters to donate, call a Senator, RSVP for an event, and more. Not only that, but SMS is the most effective way to reach underserved populations who are less likely to own a computer with Internet than a cell phone that can send and receive texts.

Join us and Mobile Commons at #M4NP to talk about Mobile Messaging for Nonprofits on April 27th at 1pm EST. Gain actionable tips to maintain the sustainability of your organization with this changing technology.
